Sunshine and nice weather will definitely await you when you arrive in Florida. Especially the month of September has a lot of sun where you can expect a day with up to 15 hours of sunshine and temperatures around 88 degrees F. The summer months can be muggy and heavy showers and thunderstorms may accompany you, but these quickly dissipate. During the winter months, the climate is mild with a lot of sunshine. However, drops in temperature are not unusual and the thermometer can fall overnight to 68 degrees F.

The water temperature in the Gulf of Mexico is a little warmer than the Atlantic on the east coast, which makes the west coast a paradise for swimmers, boaters and divers. With 76-89 degrees F, the water is almost lukewarm. However, please always pay attention to possible shark alerts before you go swimming or surfing in the ocean.
